Yesterday we saw the Grand Final of Ownage. Locktar who defeated Bulat before had his 2nd chance to clear things up in an other best of five. But again Milton showed why he is probably the best active player around and annihilated Locktar in an impressive 3-0. Congratz to Milton and thanks to all particpants who made this tourney to the biggest and greatest.
I would like to thank Zalon and Soma in particular, who brought this tourney to the end when I had to slow down my activity for personal reasons.

I wanna start this by thanking the admins for the job well done so far. But as it seems, not all the people appreciate the time and effort put on running this kinda tourney. Its not the admin's job to oversee that people play their games, no, its the participants themselves who have the responsibility. As the tourney has progressed, more and more people try to push the deadlines, and this is absurd. We all know what we signed in for, and the rules are there for a reason. The admins take time out of their lives to run this tourney, and like said, its not their job to take care of games being played, they have enough job of running the tourney itself. People shouldnt forget that. The games are getting hotter and hotter, and its a shame if we have to advance to the finals by giving out walkovers. The least you could do is to let your opponent/admin know if you cannot play your game by the given schedule. We all have personal lives and stuff going on outside quakeworld, and if you come across these kinda things, it would make the job a lot easier on the admins to keep the tournament up and running if you would take 5 minutes of your day to just let us know about it. I hope this rant has given something to think about, admins are doing their jobs, now its time for YOU as a player to step up.

Here are the new deadlines for upcoming matches:
Winner bracket 3: Sunday 14th of March
Loserbracket 2: Thursday 11th of March
Loserbracket 3: Sunday 14th of March
Contact your opponent as soon as possible and play your matches. If you however cant find your opponent write an email first then contact admins.

Now the brackets are full filled of the remaning 128 players. Dont rest, keep playing! If there are any problems please message an admin before deadline.

With 176 players signed up for Ownage #3 we choose a 256 full double elimination bracket. In other words, every participant gets 2 matches in worst case. There will be some walkovers in first round since we have slight less signups than player slots. All matches until final round will be best of 3. Maps are the approved DM2, DM4, DM6, ZTNDM3 and Aerowalk.
You should have an email in your inbox telling you what opponent you got. You can also check your Next Match to be played in case you are logged in. You also can look at an overview of the bracket.
Please contact your opponent as soon as possible to schedule your match. If there are any problems, message an admin!
Deadline for first winner bracket round will be 28th of February!
