The first Ownage 1on1 tournament is finally over. After three months and over 400 played games Gamer came out on top. During the whole game he left no doubt who's going to win the tournament and on behalf of the admin crew I congratulate him for his impressive performance during the entire tournament. A game always consists of two players, so let's not forget Xalibur, who gave Gamer a tough fight in the first minutes of Ztndm3 and Dm4 and played a very good game on Aerowalk, where he was in the lead with only one minute to go, but eventually lost in a very tight game. Congratulations to him as well! The demos can be found on challenge-tv. A package with commentary will be available later this day.

After waiting 2 weeks for Mutilator to face Xalibur in the Grand Loserbracket Final our patience is over and we gave Xalibur the walkover. We really wanted the match played but we cant wait any longer:( So dont look back to worries lets look forward. The next days the Grand Final is coming up!

Gamer meets Xalibur demos

Gamer played a very solid tourney with losing only 2 Aerowalk maps. Hes the man that has to be fight down. And there is one who wants to do the job: Xalibur. Only losing to Mutilator he nearly won all matches in a straight 2-0 walk through.

Xalibur has to win twice Best of 5, whereas Gamer can make it safe in just 3 maps. The Match has been scheduled to sunday, april 15th 20cet. For updated information check out IRC topic at #ownage.qw (QuakeNet).

What began with 256 players in January is now entering it's hot phase. Yesterday, Xalibur defeated LBN 3:1 in maps and is now seeking revenge on his fellow countryman Mutilator, who took a hard defeat when he faced Gamer last week. Unfortunately, we don't have a fixed date for the losers bracket final between Mutilator and Xalibur, but we'll keep you updated. The winner of this match will then face Gamer, who is in the perfect situation, because he'll need only one best-of-five win to take the crown, whereas Mutilator or Xalibur will have to defeat him twice. All bets are off!

Last round we saw some really hot action and sassas prediction went mostly totally wrong :) There you see that Quakeworld is everytime good for surprises. Nevertheless the tournament goes on and here are the upcoming matches:
